Coach – Recreational Gymnastics

Neath-Afan Gymnastics and Activities has an exciting opportunity for a Head Coach role, for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the long-term success of the club’s members, its team and community. 

As Head Coach, you will play a pivotal role in developing our coaching team and our Recreational gymnastics and trampolining programme’s including our Community Outreach ‘Gym in a van’ programme, plus other associated activities, in line with our vision, mission and values, supporting the club’s growth from our current membership of 800 recreational gymnasts.

We are an inclusive community club that offers a range of gymnastic disciplines and activities in a fun, safe and supportive environment. We have a dedicated Recreational Centre, an additional dedicated Competition Centre, a Community Satellite Club and ‘Gym In a Van’ delivering community outreach programme’s in schools and similar venues throughout and beyond the borders of Neath Port Talbot County.

 Our vision is to provide an inspiring journey for all to discover their full potential, whilst striving for excellence and wellbeing; ultimately becoming a national leader in gymnastics provision.

 All our coaches take an active role in keeping our gymnasts moving and achieving, continuously raising standards. We currently provide recreational gymnastics and trampolining for all ages and abilities from pre-school to young adult, including No Limits for those with physical disabilities or additional learning needs, eXcape for our ‘free at heart’ youngsters and young adults, plus a very successful competitive gymnastics programme.  Every child matters.

 Key aspects of the role:

In collaboration with the Management Team you will develop and implement the annual operational plan and longer-term strategy for the club. This will include the following:

• Coaching and leadership team development including succession planning.
• Delivery of and improvement to our gold standard recreational programme
• Expanding our membership/gymnast numbers.
• Membership journey, conversion and retention success factors
• Creating and expanding our volunteer’s programme and events calendar

 Ideally you will be a BG General Level 2 qualification or above with a minimum of 2yrs experience in a coaching leadership position plus experience and a clear understanding of club management and structure.

We can offer you:

• Annual salary starting at £25k, dependent on qualifications and experience.
• Required to cover days, evenings, and weekends as necessary. 40 hours per week.
• 30 days of annual leave to include designated bank holidays and your ‘birthday’ day of leave.
• Funded British Gymnastics coaching courses with mentoring support from our current coaching Directors, management team and Gymnastics Manager (competitive).

Front of House Receptionist

Neath Afan Gymnastics Club is searching for a new staff members to join our Front of House team.  You will need to be bright, confident, presentable and an articulate individual to support our office & front of house departments.

Main duties will be managing the reception area of the building.  Meeting and greeting our customers and all professional visitors to the Centre and managing the telephone systems.

The role will involve evenings and weekends – hours to be discussed on appointment of the right person. You will join a team of two staff members.

Salary is NMW – based on your age
